How To Uninstall libpam-fprintd On Debian 8

To uninstall libpam-fprintd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libpam-fprintd

PAM module for fingerprint authentication trough fprintdDebian 8.0admin0.5.1-1
sudo apt-get remove libpam-fprintd

This will remove just the libpam-fprintd package itself.

Uninstall libpam-fprintd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libpam-fprintd

This will remove the libpam-fprintd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libpam-fprintd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libpam-fprintd

Or similarly, like this libpam-fprintd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libpam-fprintd
