How To Uninstall librbd-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall librbd-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just librbd-dev

RADOS block device client library (development files)Debian 8.0libdevel0.80.7-2+deb8u2
sudo apt-get remove librbd-dev

This will remove just the librbd-dev package itself.

Uninstall librbd-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove librbd-dev

This will remove the librbd-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for librbd-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge librbd-dev

Or similarly, like this librbd-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove librbd-dev
