How To Uninstall libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit On Debian 8

To uninstall libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit

Cyrus SASL - pluggable authentication modules (GSSAPI)Debian 8.0libs2.1.26.dfsg1-13+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit

This will remove just the libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit package itself.

Uninstall libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit

This will remove the libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit

Or similarly, like this libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit
