How To Uninstall libss2 On Debian 8

To uninstall libss2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libss2

command-line interface parsing libraryDebian 8.0libs1.42.12-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove libss2

This will remove just the libss2 package itself.

Uninstall libss2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libss2

This will remove the libss2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libss2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libss2

Or similarly, like this libss2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libss2
