How To Uninstall libtcl-chiark-1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libtcl-chiark-1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libtcl-chiark-1

Tcl interfaces for adns, cdb, crypto, etc.Debian 8.0interpreters1.1.3
sudo apt-get remove libtcl-chiark-1

This will remove just the libtcl-chiark-1 package itself.

Uninstall libtcl-chiark-1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libtcl-chiark-1

This will remove the libtcl-chiark-1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libtcl-chiark-1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libtcl-chiark-1

Or similarly, like this libtcl-chiark-1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libtcl-chiark-1
