How To Uninstall libval-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libval-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libval-dbg

DNSSEC validation library (debug symbols)Debian 8.0debug2.0-1.1
sudo apt-get remove libval-dbg

This will remove just the libval-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libval-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libval-dbg

This will remove the libval-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libval-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libval-dbg

Or similarly, like this libval-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libval-dbg
