How To Uninstall libval14 On Debian 8

To uninstall libval14 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libval14

DNSSEC validation library (shared library)Debian 8.0libs2.0-1.1
sudo apt-get remove libval14

This will remove just the libval14 package itself.

Uninstall libval14 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libval14

This will remove the libval14 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libval14 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libval14

Or similarly, like this libval14

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libval14
