How To Uninstall libvtkgdcm-java On Debian 8

To uninstall libvtkgdcm-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libvtkgdcm-java

Grassroots DICOM VTK Java bindingsDebian 8.0java2.4.4-3+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libvtkgdcm-java

This will remove just the libvtkgdcm-java package itself.

Uninstall libvtkgdcm-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libvtkgdcm-java

This will remove the libvtkgdcm-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libvtkgdcm-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libvtkgdcm-java

Or similarly, like this libvtkgdcm-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libvtkgdcm-java
