How To Uninstall libvtkgdcm2-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libvtkgdcm2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libvtkgdcm2-dev

Grassroots DICOM VTK development libraries and headersDebian 8.0libdevel2.4.4-3+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libvtkgdcm2-dev

This will remove just the libvtkgdcm2-dev package itself.

Uninstall libvtkgdcm2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libvtkgdcm2-dev

This will remove the libvtkgdcm2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libvtkgdcm2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libvtkgdcm2-dev

Or similarly, like this libvtkgdcm2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libvtkgdcm2-dev
