How To Uninstall libxcomposite1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libxcomposite1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libxcomposite1

linuxX11 Composite extension librarylibs1:0.4.4-1
sudo apt-get remove libxcomposite1

This will remove just the libxcomposite1 package itself.

Uninstall libxcomposite1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libxcomposite1

This will remove the libxcomposite1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libxcomposite1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libxcomposite1

Or similarly, like this libxcomposite1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libxcomposite1
