How To Uninstall libxcursor1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libxcursor1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libxcursor1

X cursor management libraryDebian 8.0libs1:1.1.14-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove libxcursor1

This will remove just the libxcursor1 package itself.

Uninstall libxcursor1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libxcursor1

This will remove the libxcursor1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libxcursor1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libxcursor1

Or similarly, like this libxcursor1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libxcursor1
