How To Uninstall libxrender1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libxrender1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libxrender1

linuxX Rendering Extension client librarylibs1:0.9.8-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove libxrender1

This will remove just the libxrender1 package itself.

Uninstall libxrender1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libxrender1

This will remove the libxrender1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libxrender1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libxrender1

Or similarly, like this libxrender1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libxrender1
