How To Uninstall libzlcore-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libzlcore-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libzlcore-dev

ZLibrary cross-platform development library (development files)Debian 8.0libdevel0.12.10dfsg-9.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove libzlcore-dev

This will remove just the libzlcore-dev package itself.

Uninstall libzlcore-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libzlcore-dev

This will remove the libzlcore-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libzlcore-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libzlcore-dev

Or similarly, like this libzlcore-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libzlcore-dev
