How To Uninstall libzlcore0.12 On Debian 8

To uninstall libzlcore0.12 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libzlcore0.12

ZLibrary cross-platform development library (shared library)Debian 8.0libs0.12.10dfsg-9.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove libzlcore0.12

This will remove just the libzlcore0.12 package itself.

Uninstall libzlcore0.12 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libzlcore0.12

This will remove the libzlcore0.12 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libzlcore0.12 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libzlcore0.12

Or similarly, like this libzlcore0.12

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libzlcore0.12
