How To Uninstall lsb-base On Debian 8

To uninstall lsb-base just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just lsb-base

Linux Standard Base 4.1 init script functionalityDebian 8.0misc4.1+Debian13+nmu1
sudo apt-get remove lsb-base

This will remove just the lsb-base package itself.

Uninstall lsb-base and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove lsb-base

This will remove the lsb-base package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for lsb-base then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge lsb-base

Or similarly, like this lsb-base

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove lsb-base
