How To Uninstall macutils On Debian 8

To uninstall macutils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just macutils

Set of tools to deal with specially encoded Macintosh filesDebian 8.0otherosfs2.0b3-16
sudo apt-get remove macutils

This will remove just the macutils package itself.

Uninstall macutils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove macutils

This will remove the macutils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for macutils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge macutils

Or similarly, like this macutils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove macutils
