How To Uninstall maildir-filter On Debian 8

To uninstall maildir-filter just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just maildir-filter

Simple program to filter messages into Maildir folders from dot-qmailDebian 8.0mail1.20-3
sudo apt-get remove maildir-filter

This will remove just the maildir-filter package itself.

Uninstall maildir-filter and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove maildir-filter

This will remove the maildir-filter package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for maildir-filter then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge maildir-filter

Or similarly, like this maildir-filter

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove maildir-filter
