How To Uninstall maildirsync On Debian 8

To uninstall maildirsync just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just maildirsync

simple and efficient Maildir synchronisation utilityDebian 8.0mail1.2-1.1
sudo apt-get remove maildirsync

This will remove just the maildirsync package itself.

Uninstall maildirsync and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove maildirsync

This will remove the maildirsync package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for maildirsync then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge maildirsync

Or similarly, like this maildirsync

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove maildirsync
