How To Uninstall make On Debian 8

To uninstall make just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just make

utility for directing compilationDebian 8.0devel4.0-8.1
sudo apt-get remove make

This will remove just the make package itself.

Uninstall make and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove make

This will remove the make package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for make then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge make

Or similarly, like this make

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove make
