How To Uninstall makefs On Debian 8

To uninstall makefs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just makefs

create a cd9660 or ffs file system image from a directory treeDebian 8.0otherosfs20100306-5
sudo apt-get remove makefs

This will remove just the makefs package itself.

Uninstall makefs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove makefs

This will remove the makefs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for makefs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge makefs

Or similarly, like this makefs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove makefs
