How To Uninstall makepasswd On Debian 8

To uninstall makepasswd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just makepasswd

Generate and encrypt passwordsDebian 8.0admin1.10-9
sudo apt-get remove makepasswd

This will remove just the makepasswd package itself.

Uninstall makepasswd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove makepasswd

This will remove the makepasswd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for makepasswd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge makepasswd

Or similarly, like this makepasswd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove makepasswd
