How To Uninstall makepatch On Debian 8

To uninstall makepatch just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just makepatch

generate/apply patch files with more functionality than plain diffDebian 8.0utils2.03-1
sudo apt-get remove makepatch

This will remove just the makepatch package itself.

Uninstall makepatch and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove makepatch

This will remove the makepatch package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for makepatch then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge makepatch

Or similarly, like this makepatch

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove makepatch
