How To Uninstall mariadb-test On Debian 8

To uninstall mariadb-test just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mariadb-test

MariaDB database regression test suite (metapackage for the latest version)Debian 8.0database10.0.30-0+deb8u2
sudo apt-get remove mariadb-test

This will remove just the mariadb-test package itself.

Uninstall mariadb-test and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mariadb-test

This will remove the mariadb-test package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mariadb-test then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mariadb-test

Or similarly, like this mariadb-test

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mariadb-test
