How To Uninstall masscan On Debian 8

To uninstall masscan just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just masscan

TCP port scannerDebian 8.0net1.0.3-90-g2441f18~ds0-1
sudo apt-get remove masscan

This will remove just the masscan package itself.

Uninstall masscan and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove masscan

This will remove the masscan package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for masscan then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge masscan

Or similarly, like this masscan

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove masscan
