How To Uninstall mate-media-pulse On Debian 8

To uninstall mate-media-pulse just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mate-media-pulse

MATE media utilities (PulseAudio backend)Debian 8.0x111.8.0+dfsg1-3
sudo apt-get remove mate-media-pulse

This will remove just the mate-media-pulse package itself.

Uninstall mate-media-pulse and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mate-media-pulse

This will remove the mate-media-pulse package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mate-media-pulse then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mate-media-pulse

Or similarly, like this mate-media-pulse

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mate-media-pulse
