How To Uninstall mbtserver On Debian 8

To uninstall mbtserver just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mbtserver

Server extensions for the MBT taggerDebian 8.0science0.7-3
sudo apt-get remove mbtserver

This will remove just the mbtserver package itself.

Uninstall mbtserver and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mbtserver

This will remove the mbtserver package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mbtserver then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mbtserver

Or similarly, like this mbtserver

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mbtserver
