How To Uninstall mc-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall mc-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mc-dbg

Midnight Commander - a powerful file manager - debug packageDebian 8.0debug3:4.8.13-3
sudo apt-get remove mc-dbg

This will remove just the mc-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mc-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mc-dbg

This will remove the mc-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mc-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mc-dbg

Or similarly, like this mc-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mc-dbg
