How To Uninstall mcollective-common On Debian 8

To uninstall mcollective-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mcollective-common

Marionette Collective clustering framework - common filesDebian 8.0utils2.6.0+dfsg-2.1
sudo apt-get remove mcollective-common

This will remove just the mcollective-common package itself.

Uninstall mcollective-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mcollective-common

This will remove the mcollective-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mcollective-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mcollective-common

Or similarly, like this mcollective-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mcollective-common
