How To Uninstall md5deep On Debian 8

To uninstall md5deep just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just md5deep

Recursively compute hashsums or piecewise hashingsDebian 8.0utils4.2-1
sudo apt-get remove md5deep

This will remove just the md5deep package itself.

Uninstall md5deep and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove md5deep

This will remove the md5deep package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for md5deep then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge md5deep

Or similarly, like this md5deep

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove md5deep
