How To Uninstall mdbtools On Debian 8

To uninstall mdbtools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mdbtools

JET / MS Access database (MDB) toolsDebian 8.0database0.7.1-2
sudo apt-get remove mdbtools

This will remove just the mdbtools package itself.

Uninstall mdbtools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mdbtools

This will remove the mdbtools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mdbtools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mdbtools

Or similarly, like this mdbtools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mdbtools
