How To Uninstall media-player-info On Debian 8

To uninstall media-player-info just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just media-player-info

Media player identification filesDebian 8.0admin22-2
sudo apt-get remove media-player-info

This will remove just the media-player-info package itself.

Uninstall media-player-info and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove media-player-info

This will remove the media-player-info package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for media-player-info then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge media-player-info

Or similarly, like this media-player-info

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove media-player-info
