How To Uninstall mediainfo-gui On Debian 8

To uninstall mediainfo-gui just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mediainfo-gui

graphical utility for reading information from audio/video filesDebian 8.0utils0.7.70-1
sudo apt-get remove mediainfo-gui

This will remove just the mediainfo-gui package itself.

Uninstall mediainfo-gui and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mediainfo-gui

This will remove the mediainfo-gui package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mediainfo-gui then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mediainfo-gui

Or similarly, like this mediainfo-gui

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mediainfo-gui
