How To Uninstall memdump On Debian 8

To uninstall memdump just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just memdump

utility to dump memory contents to standard outputDebian 8.0admin1.01-6.1
sudo apt-get remove memdump

This will remove just the memdump package itself.

Uninstall memdump and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove memdump

This will remove the memdump package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for memdump then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge memdump

Or similarly, like this memdump

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove memdump
