How To Uninstall memlockd On Debian 8

To uninstall memlockd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just memlockd

daemon to lock files into RAMDebian 8.0admin1.1.1
sudo apt-get remove memlockd

This will remove just the memlockd package itself.

Uninstall memlockd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove memlockd

This will remove the memlockd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for memlockd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge memlockd

Or similarly, like this memlockd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove memlockd
