How To Uninstall merb-core On Debian 8

To uninstall merb-core just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just merb-core

Transitional package for ruby-merb-coreDebian 8.0ruby1.1.3+dfsg-2
sudo apt-get remove merb-core

This will remove just the merb-core package itself.

Uninstall merb-core and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove merb-core

This will remove the merb-core package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for merb-core then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge merb-core

Or similarly, like this merb-core

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove merb-core
