How To Uninstall mercurial-git On Debian 8

To uninstall mercurial-git just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mercurial-git

Git plugin for MercurialDebian 8.0vcs0.6.1-2
sudo apt-get remove mercurial-git

This will remove just the mercurial-git package itself.

Uninstall mercurial-git and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mercurial-git

This will remove the mercurial-git package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mercurial-git then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mercurial-git

Or similarly, like this mercurial-git

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mercurial-git
