How To Uninstall mergelog On Debian 8

To uninstall mergelog just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mergelog

utility that merges httpd log files by dateDebian 8.0utils4.5.1-9
sudo apt-get remove mergelog

This will remove just the mergelog package itself.

Uninstall mergelog and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mergelog

This will remove the mergelog package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mergelog then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mergelog

Or similarly, like this mergelog

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mergelog
