How To Uninstall mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg

sudo apt-get remove mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg

This will remove just the mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg

This will remove the mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg

Or similarly, like this mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mesa-vdpau-drivers-dbg
