How To Uninstall metview-data On Debian 8

To uninstall metview-data just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just metview-data

Data needed for the Metview data analysis environmentDebian 8.0science4.4.8+dfsg.1-8
sudo apt-get remove metview-data

This will remove just the metview-data package itself.

Uninstall metview-data and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove metview-data

This will remove the metview-data package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for metview-data then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge metview-data

Or similarly, like this metview-data

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove metview-data
