How To Uninstall midge On Debian 8

To uninstall midge just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just midge

A text to MIDI programDebian 8.0sound0.2.41-2
sudo apt-get remove midge

This will remove just the midge package itself.

Uninstall midge and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove midge

This will remove the midge package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for midge then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge midge

Or similarly, like this midge

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove midge
