How To Uninstall mingw-w64 On Debian 8

To uninstall mingw-w64 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mingw-w64

Development environment targeting 32- and 64-bit WindowsDebian 8.0devel3.2.0-2
sudo apt-get remove mingw-w64

This will remove just the mingw-w64 package itself.

Uninstall mingw-w64 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mingw-w64

This will remove the mingw-w64 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mingw-w64 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mingw-w64

Or similarly, like this mingw-w64

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mingw-w64
