How To Uninstall minidisc-utils On Debian 8

To uninstall minidisc-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just minidisc-utils

Command line utilities for MiniDisc accessDebian 8.0sound0.9.13-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove minidisc-utils

This will remove just the minidisc-utils package itself.

Uninstall minidisc-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove minidisc-utils

This will remove the minidisc-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for minidisc-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge minidisc-utils

Or similarly, like this minidisc-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove minidisc-utils
