How To Uninstall minissdpd On Debian 8

To uninstall minissdpd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just minissdpd

keep memory of all UPnP devices that announced themselvesDebian 8.0net1.2.20130907-3+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove minissdpd

This will remove just the minissdpd package itself.

Uninstall minissdpd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove minissdpd

This will remove the minissdpd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for minissdpd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge minissdpd

Or similarly, like this minissdpd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove minissdpd
