How To Uninstall mjpegtools-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall mjpegtools-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mjpegtools-dbg

MJPEG capture/editing/replay and MPEG encoding toolset (debug)Debian 8.0debug1:2.1.0+debian-3
sudo apt-get remove mjpegtools-dbg

This will remove just the mjpegtools-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mjpegtools-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mjpegtools-dbg

This will remove the mjpegtools-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mjpegtools-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mjpegtools-dbg

Or similarly, like this mjpegtools-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mjpegtools-dbg
