How To Uninstall mjpegtools-gtk On Debian 8

To uninstall mjpegtools-gtk just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mjpegtools-gtk

MJPEG capture/editing/replay and MPEG encoding toolset (GTK+ frontend)Debian 8.0video1:2.1.0+debian-3
sudo apt-get remove mjpegtools-gtk

This will remove just the mjpegtools-gtk package itself.

Uninstall mjpegtools-gtk and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mjpegtools-gtk

This will remove the mjpegtools-gtk package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mjpegtools-gtk then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mjpegtools-gtk

Or similarly, like this mjpegtools-gtk

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mjpegtools-gtk
