How To Uninstall mkelfimage On Debian 8

To uninstall mkelfimage just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mkelfimage

utility to create ELF boot images from Linux kernel imagesDebian 8.0devel2.7-7
sudo apt-get remove mkelfimage

This will remove just the mkelfimage package itself.

Uninstall mkelfimage and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mkelfimage

This will remove the mkelfimage package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mkelfimage then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mkelfimage

Or similarly, like this mkelfimage

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mkelfimage
