How To Uninstall modemmanager-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall modemmanager-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just modemmanager-dbg

D-Bus service for managing modems - debugging symbolsDebian 8.0debug1.4.0-1
sudo apt-get remove modemmanager-dbg

This will remove just the modemmanager-dbg package itself.

Uninstall modemmanager-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove modemmanager-dbg

This will remove the modemmanager-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for modemmanager-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge modemmanager-dbg

Or similarly, like this modemmanager-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove modemmanager-dbg
