How To Uninstall modplug-tools On Debian 8

To uninstall modplug-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just modplug-tools

Modplug playing console toolsDebian 8.0sound0.5.3-1.1
sudo apt-get remove modplug-tools

This will remove just the modplug-tools package itself.

Uninstall modplug-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove modplug-tools

This will remove the modplug-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for modplug-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge modplug-tools

Or similarly, like this modplug-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove modplug-tools
