How To Uninstall module-assistant On Debian 8

To uninstall module-assistant just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just module-assistant

sudo apt-get remove module-assistant

This will remove just the module-assistant package itself.

Uninstall module-assistant and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove module-assistant

This will remove the module-assistant package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for module-assistant then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge module-assistant

Or similarly, like this module-assistant

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove module-assistant
