How To Uninstall monkeytail On Debian 8

To uninstall monkeytail just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just monkeytail

tail variant designed for web developers monitoring logfilesDebian 8.0utils0.3.2-3
sudo apt-get remove monkeytail

This will remove just the monkeytail package itself.

Uninstall monkeytail and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove monkeytail

This will remove the monkeytail package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for monkeytail then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge monkeytail

Or similarly, like this monkeytail

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove monkeytail
